Common Pests in Acacia Crossing

Maricopa's desert climate and proximity to undeveloped land creates year-round pest pressure for Acacia Crossing residents. Bark scorpions are the primary concern — they're venomous and common throughout Pinal and Maricopa counties. Regular professional treatment is the most reliable way to keep your home protected.

Local Pest Facts

• Acacia Crossing's desert-native landscaping — while water-efficient — provides ideal harborage for bark scorpions, which hide under rocks, in plant debris, and beneath low-growing desert plants.
• New and newer homes in Acacia Crossing may still have active subterranean termite pressure from pre-construction soil disturbance; pre-treat barriers should be inspected and renewed as needed.
• Bark scorpion stings are most frequently reported in Acacia Crossing during summer evenings when residents walk barefoot on patios and in garages — UV blacklight inspections at night are the best way to assess activity.
